Appearance and Informations
A pink-haired Anima unit flying a Swedish JAS39D Gripen produced by Saab. She suffers from an inherent emotional defect which leaves her scatterbrained and lacking a sense of purpose. When they first meet, Gripen forms an emotional dependency on Kei, which is noted by her supervisor, and thus Kei is taken into the program to provide her with a motivation for fighting the Zai. Her call sign is "Barbie 01".
Facts and Stats of Eagle
Eagle, F15J-ANM-Eagle, callsign Barbie 02, flies a F-15J Eagle air superiority fighter. She is an attractive blonde anima with a sunny disposition. She greets friends with hugs. She calls Yashiodoori Haruka Daddy and has something of a father complex about him. One of the few people she dislikes is Phantom for being mean and not fighting fair. She has the highest kill ratio of any anima (at least 117 kills). Phantom finds her easy to manipulate. This may mean that Eagle is still a little immature.
Informations
Phantom, callsign Barbie 03, name RF-4EJ-ANM Phantom II, is a petite anima with green hair and brown eyes. Her daughter aircraft is a RF-4EJ Phantom II which is primarily a tactical reconnaissance aircraft. She was the first Japanese anima created from salvaged Xi parts. Consequently, she was the most tested of all the Japanese androids, so much so that extensive wargames and simulations affected her outlook. She will not take unnecessary risks if it means that she fails to protect humanity which is her primary mission. Kei describes her as mean and sarcastic, but overall she comes off as logical and pragmatic. There are times she appears to be psychopathic in her behavior such as when she tried to injure Kei to get him off a mission in order to "protect" him. She is very confident in her abilities which include electronic signals analysis and countermeasures. Her confidence was shaken a little when Kei and Gripen beat her in a simulated dogfight. She is the third member of the Independent Mixed Test Unit.
Appearance and Facts
Viper Zero, callsign Barbie 04, is a Mitsubishi F-2. No one knows what she looks like because she appears as the woman they are thinking of at the time. The observer effect is due to her unstable core acting as an empathic reflector. She dresses in lolita fashion which also causes consternation with anyone who sees her. The other anima consider her a pervert not because of her fashion sense, but because she carries more air to air missiles than they can. She protects Naha Air Force base.
